|St Faith's at the Walsworth Festival 2009|
|Walsworth Festival = Down came the rain, out came the sunshine!
What a day! The Walsworth Festival was very nearly a repeat of three years ago with torrential rain during the morning. Many of us looked like drowned rats and struggled valiantly to cover the stalls with plastic and stop it blowing away!
However our perseverance was rewarded when the sun came out and during the afternoon there were only a few showers. Despite everything we all enjoyed the fellowship and fundraising both on the Common and at St Faith’s.
The stalls on the common selling toys, sewing and knitting, books, jewellery and the skittle alley raised much needed funds for the Church.
Back in St Faith’s, the cake stall and cream teas were as usual very popular and it was wonderful for St Faith’s to be such a visible presence on the Common and for the Church to be used for singing, music, art displays from Purwell School, and beautiful flower arrangements sold for Christian Aid.
