The first meeting out is usually to a place of local interest, when families and friends are invited and the second is our annual meal out where we visit a local - or at least nearby - pub or restaurant. We would love to welcome new members and everyone will be made to feel at home so please feel free to come along. Or you could give Penny Mitchell a ring on 01462 624369.

Sunday

The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols tells the story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus in nine short Bible readings from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with singing of Christmas Carol, Hymns and choir music. It's a very popular service in which everyone can participate and it really helps to get everyone in the mood for Christmas.

Thursday
24th December at 4 pm : Crib Service
This service is aimed specifically for younger people and parents with prams and pushchairs.  There are popular carols and the nativity story is told.  This is a very good way for younger people to start their preparation for the following day – Christmas Day. The Music Group will be playing for this service.

Thursday 24th December at 11:30 pm : Midnight Mass
This is a very important and well attended service for St Faith’s.  The service starts at 1130 pm and the church is lit with candles. We celebrate anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ with carols, readings, prayers and Holy Communion. It's a very special night of the year and there is a great atmosphere in the church – everyone is welcome to join us.

Friday 25th December at 9:30 am :
Christmas Day Festival Communion Service
The Christmas Day service marks the birth of Jesus, the son of God in a stable in Bethlehem.  The service starts slightly later than usual since many people will have been at the midnight service. There are popular Christmas carols, the nativity story and prayers within the service.
